[personal profile] digitaldesigner posting in [community profile] fridayfive
I know many people don't like to vote, but it takes less than a minute to do it. Participation in voting has been minimal at best lately. So, a question: would you prefer we go participation only and just have round up posts to close challenges? Please let me know what you'd like to see happen in the comments below. :)

In the meantime, please go vote in the 5 Pairings tie-breaker. There are only two votes so far and I need more than that to break the ties. Thanks!

I'm fine either way as well, but a round up instead of a voting post might encourage some new people to participate?

Having voting off-site is probably one of the reasons you're getting fewer votes. The more clicks there are, the lower the chance you'll get participation. Humans are lazy. (Full disclosure: I have only participated in one vote since it moved to docs.)

I don't mind either way.

I admit I didn't vote this time for really shitty reasons. I'll be better next time.

I would like to see participation rise, too, and I'm happy you made a post about it. I think generally more traffic on the comm may raise participation. The thing that attracted me to the comm in the first place was the nice atmosphere, and now it's become a bit more clinical.

I thought maybe making polls about challenges or generally mixing things up would maybe be a good idea. But I think I may not be qualified because I liked and entered almost all the recent challenges. So... I may be biased.
